GOVERNMENT GOES DIGITAL, YOU SHOULD TOO -LAUNCHES UMANG APP
GOVERNMENT GOES DIGITAL, YOU SHOULD TOO -LAUNCHES UMANG APP
Availing government services has become even simpler! Prime Minister Narendra Modi formally launched Umang, a state and central government services app, on 23 November with a sole purpose of reaching to the citizens in the most convenient and time-saving way.
Anyone can sign up on the app for services from the Employees Provident Fund Organisation, the Central Board of Secondary Education, Bharat Bill Pay and others. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) along with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) have developed the app, the name of which expands to Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance.
This App acts as a one-stop-shop for all government services. One can find CBSE exam centers, calculate crop insurance premium, access soil health cards, book OPD appointments at government hospitals and view lab reports and whatnot. A total of 162 services from 33 state and central government departments. You can link your Aadhaar card, sort services by type and can even check notifications from various services with just one tap.
It is indeed a great initiative where the government brings the services closer to the citizens. There are many other similar apps available in the Digital Store like MyGov App, Narendra Modi App; but Umang is the most recent and the advanced app that offers a lot at once.
It is the era of digitization. Not because of Demonetisation but because of Modernisation. When big companies go digital, why would government stay behind? We have witnessed how quickly our External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj responded to citizens with grievances on Twitter and heard stories about how our former Railway Minister, Suresh Prabhu, solved problems of many passengers before they even finished their journey when they sent him a complaint tweet. Everyone today is trying to reach the maximum number of people. It plays a vital role in Market Image Building. It not just enhances government brand equity but also casts a positive light on the leaders itself.
Our whole point is ‘customer engagement’. It is all about reaching the customer and listening to them and trying to solve their problems. Brands don’t work for themselves. They work for people. The first aim should be solving the problem. People know that you have a product but how is that product going to solve their problems. When brands connect their products to the audience and showcase the benefits, then they get what they need–traffic and conversions.
It’s about how easy it is for your consumers to reach you. Take Umang for example, everyone knows where to go to avail a government service; still, providing the app and making the entire process simpler and user-friendly counts. It counts big time!
Today it has become immensely important to understand your target audience and to reach them especially when they have a problem. The best and the trendiest way to do so is to have an app where people can ask, talk and book your service anytime anywhere. Your brand must be available right in front of them. Your consumer should be able to contact you from the comfort of their home. If you won’t be available, then someone else will.
So no matter how small or big business you own and what services or products you provide, if you think not having your own business app is not going to cost you anything then think again. Smartphones are man’s best companion today and if you are not available there then are you really visible to your consumer?

There are certain steps that will maintain your website’s position and keep the hackers at bay at the same time.
Following are some valuable tips that’ll help you big time —
- First need to check if there are any vulnerabilities present in your website by using site: ‘website’ method.

- Create a strong password by using a mixture of special characters, numbers and alphabets.
- Always update your extensions for your website and upgrade your admin page if necessary.
- Don’t index your admin page in Google search engine.

WHAT IS COPY IN COPYWRITING?
WHAT IS COPY IN COPYWRITING?
Copywriting is 70% marketing skill and 30% art
The trouble with copywriting is its very nature—it is rather unfixed. Even though there is the standard copy book that for most bit has been the industry standard blue print, a large portion of the pre -copywriting process has not been given the attention it deserves.
By the pre-copywriting process we mean, a certain exercise that lets you know the product, know its differentiating factor and translate it into a benefit; feature alone is not enough to make a convincing sell, a complete understanding of the product or service, merits and demerits is a must. Also, knowing who you are writing for matters immensely, when it comes to the final shaping of the communication. To demonstrate the relevance of this approach I shall use two car brands as illustrations.
If there were two cars in the same league, offering say equal number of features: both offer power steering, and both offer power windows as well. Now one of them, say Maruti, manages to include an extra benefit, an increase leg room for the same price. Then, what we have is real benefit that can tilt things in Maruti’s favour. But if only Maruti can clearly communicate that differentiating USP.
If the copy were to be something like this:
All the benefits of a hatch back plus GREATER LEGROOM for a comfortable ride–the all new Maruti zen!
A reader will surmise from the above copy that for a certain price not only is he or she getting both the promised features, but now also can stand to gain from the increased leg room. Now to be able to do that the copywriter should know all the features and be able to figure out a differentiating USP. How he or she uses the words is a craft in itself: the tone used, number of words used, the literary conceits etc—however what has to be communicated has to come first before the writing begins. And that ability of a seasoned copywriter to pick the right thing to sell through well written copy is a certain salesmanship and it precedes the copywriting.
70% of the effort goes in at this stage into so many other things that has nothing to do with English writing or language at all, for that matter. This is the creative process that should be followed as a template before approaching any task, and it is rare today.
There are a set of questions which will help you frame a blueprint on writing your copy. There are things that you must know and understand first. We have mentioned those very important questions and these will help you big time –
What is your product
Why would you, yourself buy it or ask your girlfriend/wife/husband to buy it
What is your objective
Who is your target audience
What is it you want them to see
As Maria Veloso, one of the renowned copywriter, as rightly stated in her book “Learn everything you can about your product or service. Uncover the benefits of owning your product or using your service. Only after you identify your objective, familiarize yourself with your target audience, and know your product or service throughly is it time to start writing”.

WHAT YOU MUST KNOW ABOUT YOUR DIGITAL MARKETING POSTS
What hits you first when we say Digital Posts?
If you have ever been pitched by any digital marketing agency then you must have come across them saying “We’ll provide weekly posts”. And you must be thinking it as a visual, maybe? Digital marketing posts does not have to be necessarily a creative visual. They can be anything that your consumer finds interesting.
For example, if you are in fashion business and offer latest design clothing range then even an update on top model’s new wardrobe changes will also fetch you readers. You don’t necessarily have to stick to posts that talk about your offers or discounts, you can have a simple visual that appreciates a new trend.
Here, we have put forth some of the most usual yet extremely crucial points that you must know if you are taking product to digital platforms, to be more precise social media platforms.
1.Try out photography
Though graphic designs are dominant when it comes to making a creative visual, one cannot deny the popularity of photography these days in advertising. An Eye-popping photo can do wonders for your business. Plus you have the opportunity to make it personal with photographs. It works great when you want to showcase your in-house office culture and diversity.
2.Inspire consumers through videos
Sometimes consumers themselves don’t know what they want. Every millenial today is looking for inspiration. Just take the bottle-flipping challenge. It went viral for no reason. People started uploading their videos of flipping bottles across the world. Sometimes you don’t need something huge. Any minimal idea can bring loads of engagement. Talk to people about their problems and let them know that you are not just here to help but also to inspire. If you have a product, put out videos on how to use it. Example, if you offer a cricket bat, make videos on batting tips.
3.Humanize your brand
Connect with your consumers on their level. Emotional content sells more than anything. Have videos or photos or even graphical elements to show the various walk of life that somehow connects with your brand. Or how you want to help people or change something for good through what you offer. The best example for this would be the Ariel ad on ‘Why is Laundry only a mother’s job?’ Dads #ShareTheLoad.
4.Have simple updates
You don’t have to stuff up your page with creatives or images related on about your product. Stop singing your own rhyme. Be the part of trend. If you offer Spices then post a Cooking tutorial of some nice preparation. Or simply put up one or two liners about anything that is trending in your segmented market. Your ultimate goal is to engage people, thus it’s better to talk about things they want to hear. Don’t make your Digital Marketing posts boring and consistent.
5.Talk to people
Tips, reply to comments, checklists, ‘how-to’ simple images or videos perform very well on social media. When they will feel important and valued they will come back to you.
6.Your visual lookbook
Do no stuff up unnecessary content in a visual and do not keep unnecessary graphical elements too. Layman should understand the communication immediately. Sometimes two words of strategic copy will do and sometimes you need a 100 words long copy. Sometimes just one image on the center will do and sometimes you have to take the rainbow path i.e., colourful background and images. Remember your posts and your brand must walk on the same route.
We hope these points inspire you to take up a more creative way for your digital marketing campaign. Social Media is vast platform which is already swamped with numerous brands trying to catch the consumer’s eye. Make sure you stand out with something new.

WHY DIGITAL MARKETING IS A MUST IN REAL ESTATE
WHY DIGITAL MARKETING IS A MUST IN REAL ESTATE
When it comes to marketing, digital is the way of the future.
Digital marketing can provide advantages to different industries, and, in the case of the real estate industry, the results are almost transformative. Gone are the days of age old marketing plans consisting solely of person-to-person events and traditional media. Instead, reaching the customers through email and social networks are now crucial to every company’s marketing efforts. Although people will always make their final choice to buy in person, a majority of research is done by buyers beforehand, making them form strong opinions even before viewing properties. For this reason, we suggest realtors to maintain a strong online presence.
“Certainly the advent of technology and electronic commerce has had an immense impact on the real estate industry.” – Michael Oxley
It’s a situation to which you either adapt or simply be left behind. With smartphones in hand, every person has become smart and knows how to research an avenue well before investing in it. Same goes for Real estate. Every buyer is now searching for brokers, dealers, projects, and sellers online, and even comparing prices online. It becomes all the more necessary for the Real Estate businesses to market digitally.
#1 Visibility
Active social media accounts and a constructive website offer brand enforcement and recognition that would not be found in traditional media. Being visible and active in such places
where people are looking, builds a trust for the companies in the minds of the buyers.
#2 Better Customer Interaction
Clear messages in regards to the prices and locations of the projects gives the customer a better idea. And a substantial digital presence gives you the opportunity to interact with the customer and engage with them in conversations. Blogging and leaving interactive elements in the form of buttons, and feeds can generate excellent results.
#3 Higher Conversion
Conversation to Conversion. From visiting your websites through the ads in Facebook pages to getting engaged in a conversation through commenting on the blogs. When a customer gets an active response to his issues, he gets a better idea of the projects and as mentioned above, there is trust that gets built in the process. And you have converted a visitor to a customer.
#4 Lesser marketing costs
Promoting a business online, reaches out to a wide range of customers. Unlike traditional media (print, television, etc.) that chuck high rates, and in some cases go ineffective at reaching the target market. If you’re looking to attract more real estate leads to your website, increase your appeal in the digital marketplace or boost your branding online, there are several key strategies you are going to want to know that work.
#5 SEO
The better the SEO, the more your customers. As your company’s name tops the search chart, people are obviously going to visit your website first before anyone else’s. 89% of the marketers have said that their SEO marketing efforts is very successful.
#6 Social Media
The best player when it comes to real estate is the social media. It is accounted for having drawn the maximum number of visitors to a company’s website. According to studies, a person visits and revisits his social media account 3-4 times a day. And your real estate business can make the most out of their visits.
#7 E-mail marketing
A study showed that 14.1% of those who open Real estate related email, click at least one link in the message. Emails can also be a great way to increase revenue. Customers who have shown interest in certain properties can be sent relevant information via email. This is a great way to keep buyers engaged and updated on current developments.
#8 Content marketing
Blogs and content that the customers find relevant and helpful can engage a customer’s interest in your company. It is important to any real estate agents marketing plan because people want to know more and more about a community, the financial scenario and other useful information, before finally investing on that project.

DIGITAL MARKETING HACKS FOR EARLY STAGE STARTUPS
DIGITAL MARKETING HACKS FOR EARLY STAGE STARTUPS
Starting your own business? A whole bunch of feelings must be rushing down–excitement, fear, hope and what not! Giving shape to your idea is not a child’s play especially if you are a budding entrepreneur who’s looking to establish your own brand name in this cut-throat market. Having an idea is other thing and popularising it is another. You and your product is great but does your audience know you exist?
This article is here to help you create a viable position for your product in the market. What should you do to make your startup popular? Marketing, of course!
Marketing is the heart of business. In this era, the internet provides you with a variety of tools that will help your business in gaining popularity, engage with customers, build relationships and much more. This is where digital marketing comes into play. Digital marketing will help target a larger range of audiences with better interaction with the consumers. Here are some digital marketing hacks that early stage startups should keep in mind.
1. CREATE EVERGREEN CONTENT
Content marketing is one of the most popular buzzwords in Digital Marketing. Regardless of the industry – whether you are running a bakeshop, law firm, or technology start-up – creating killer content that is clear, concise and compelling is important in order to increase more inbound traffic to your website. Research the keywords that will help you reach to the target audience. If your content marketing is done right, it will boost your SEO–allowing your business and activities to be better referenced across all possible ways of reaching you. Content marketing will also allow you to connect to your customer and to earn valuable feedback on your activities, product, service etc.
2. SEO (SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION)
SEO is a must for every startup as it greatly helps in the promotion of a website or a brand. It not only increases traffic to your website but also builds trust. People have a higher level of trust on websites which have a higher level of ranking. Mostly people go through the first page for searching a particular product or service. They don’t go to the next page. If your website ranks high in search results when consumers search with keywords related to your products, it leaves an impression that you are a reputed company.
3. GIVEAWAY ALERT
Everyone loves getting something for free. Who doesn’t like a good competition– especially when there is a prize at the end? Hosting contests and giveaways is another excellent tip to grow your small business. It encourages users to visit your website for contest details and hopefully check for other products or services you offer. This empowers the consumers to do the marketing for you. While your giveaway is in full swing, be sure to update contestants throughout the length of the contest.
4. SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS
Social media is becoming one the most important aspects of digital marketing. It makes it easier for your customers to find you and connect with you. When you post in your social media network, anyone who likes or follows your profile will see it and this will increase the brand awareness. For instance, let’s say you post a new article on your facebook page. Your post gets shared among your followers, and the more people click the post, the more visits you will have to your website. Thus your website will rank higher on google. The more quality content you share, the more inbound traffic you will generate and there will be an increase in brand recognition as an end result.
5. EMAIL MARKETING
Nope, social media isn’t the only platform that helps a company’s brand awareness. Email marketing is great for taking advantage of impulse buying. There aren’t many other marketing platforms which allow customers to go from witnessing an offer to purchasing an item within two clicks of a button. With a tempting call to action and a link straight to the checkout, email newsletters can drive sales like no other channel. Email marketing gives you the ability to increase the interest level and brand awareness, by staying on top of their mind. With the personalization of email, you can tailor your message to be warm and friendly and not cold, stale, and corporate. The personal touch will help them connect with your company on a personal level and not think you are just interested in having them buy something. This ultimately builds relationships, loyalty, and trust among your subscribers.
Other than these, there are numerous ways to popularise your brand or make your product a hero in front of your customer. Regular marketing posts will help you attract customers like never before. Solid SEO Techniques are another amazing tool for brand positioning.

5 EASY WAYS TO REDUCE BOUNCE RATE ON YOUR BLOG

If a blog is well managed and regularly updated, it helps to improve the websites SEO. Writing a blog and getting traffic is just not enough. The content, design, page loading speed any many other aspects should be of top notch so that a visitor stays on a page much longer. Let’s say 200 people visited a blog of yours. 120 people leave your website after viewing the particular blog page. They could have left the page for various reasons- lengthy content, moved to another site, or any reason.
Hence, the bounce rate for this page will be:
BR : 120/200 = 0.6 or 60% of Bounce Rate
Here are a few tips on how to keep your visitors eyes glued to your digital page.
Study your Analytics
To begin with, find out every details of your existing website pages and blogs. Make a report on the type of audience who gets attracted to your blog, the keywords to be used, the content and layout of your landing pages. After making a thorough analysis, come up with solutions.
Optimize Page Load Time
It is not necessary, that a bounce rate is high because of the content in the page. There is a main issue which arises even before the user gets a chance to read through it. If a web page, takes forever to load, the user will simply move over to another site or another answer to his question. Slow loading pages, is one leading cause in most of the ecommerce websites. Make sure your visitors are able to view the content in a reasonable amount of time say.. 3 seconds.
Fix your broken links
When a visitor clicks on a link on your site and it fails to take him to the intended page, it not only frustrates him but also affect your SEO, page rankings, website conversions. Hence it is important to identify and fix broken links else it will drive your bounce rate up.
Improve your content
Last but not the least, Copywriting. Honestly, people neither have the time nor the patience which is why it is important to write concisely in short sentences. Update your outdated content. If need be it, translate your site for the international traffic. Incase you receive a lot of traffic from Germany, Japan, China translate the site into a few different languages. Split up all your longer posts into chapters. You can reduce your bounce rate by improving your content.
Have a clear call to action
The CTA button is the most important part of your site. The CTA should be appealing enough to spur users to take the necessary step – download a PDF, fill out a form, or even just click through another page. Generic, poorly placed, and boring CTA buttons will not help to gain your users attention. Be clear and precise about what you are offering and what action you want the visitors to take through the CTA.

THE POWER OF WHITESPACE
THE POWER OF WHITESPACE
WHITESPACE DO MATTER A LOT
Every designer loves the look of it and every client wants it to be filled. Any guesses what? Whitespaces. Just like how there are many overlooked brilliant actors and artists in the film industry, the white spaces are the most underutilized element when it comes to a web layout.
Imagine being given a page full of content without spacings and margin gaps? It would be difficult to read through the passages. The same applies with the web design too. It is very important to have spaces between elements in a composition otherwise the overall layout will look clumpsy and not appealing to read through.
Whitespace is the fundamental building block of a good design and when used correctly it can provide various advantages to your website. Read through, to know why whitespace is of great importance.
Increased content legibility
In order to provide a better user experience, white spaces between paragraphs and images is necessary so that people know what they are reading. It is important for your customers to stay on the page and continue reading.
Increases Interaction
In this ever fast moving world, we are always in a hurry. The truth is, people just don’t have time to browse through your site patiently. We are a bunch of impatient millennials. A good amount of whitespace will help to prevent distractions and in turn increases the interaction. A slight padding or special effect around important objects or content will immediately help to draw attention to it.
Highlight the CTAs
Call to actions are the most important elements of a site. It is important to make it bigger and attractive since it should stand out from the rest of the content in the page. It is very important to have white spaces around the CTA as it makes it more effective and eye catchy.
Neat and tidy site
First impression is the best impression. In fact it creates an everlasting impression. Too much of content and elements will make the page look untidy and messy. Using white spaces will make the site neat, tidy and helps in better navigation. It will add a touch of elegance and superiority to your website.
Creating Balance
It is important to balance things both in life and in your website. Too much of whitespace will lead to people thinking the site contains nothing valuable. Whereas too little whitespace will lead to people thinking it is disorganised and unreliable. Hence use white space wisely to separate contents and improve user experience. This will pave a way to a clearer communication of ideas.
